I am Delia
and, since I can remember, I have been passionate about interacting with other people, learning from each interaction, and sharing knowledge.
Being natively curious, I was always up for challenges and getting out of my comfort zone. This led me to make choices that helped me develop personally and professionally.
After 15 years of customer-facing roles in both corporations, such as Microsoft and Oracle, and start-ups: Glovo and Bright Spaces, I have decided that it is time for me to start helping other people get in the Customer Success mood, either by becoming a Customer Success Manager or by building or innovating the Customer Success Department.
How it all started...
When I was 11 years old, I assisted in an unpleasant discussion between a store manager and a customer. It was back in the '90s, in my hometown where everybody knows everybody. Looking back, I realize that the conversation topic was related to customer experience.
The store manager was engaged in a discussion with a friend who stopped by and he ignored the customers who entered the store. My dad and I were customers as well. After ten, fifteen minutes of being ignored, one lady asked the store manager if he could help her with two jars of pickles. As a reply, he asked her to keep waiting, since he was engaged in a friendly talk with his friend. I remember hearing the lady say that she was feeling invisible and humiliated and that she would never stop by that store again. All the customers left the store along with that lady.
1 year later, the store went bankrupt. I remember thinking: "Well, this is what happens if a business does not treat its customers with respect." That was the starting point of my inner decision to always focus on kindness in my interactions and learn what it takes to communicate effectively so that customers remain loyal to a business.
Twenty-three years and some great opportunities later, here I am, gathering my know-how into trainings, ebooks and coaching sessions, to support you and/or your business on the way to success.
